The artisan sector is important. It is the second-largest employer in the developing world after agriculture – worth over $32 billion a year.
However, the artisans themselves are often some of the most marginalized producers in the world. They tend to lack easy access to global markets, which would allow them to make a decent and fair living. And they are frequently exploited by unscrupulous middlemen.
At FLOC we help our artisan collaborators overcome those obstacles. We link them to global markets, to you. And we pay them fairly in line with the World Fair Trade Association’s principles of respect, transparency and accountability (learn more about these values here).

The artisans we work with at FLOC are guaranteed 50% of all gross profits from each item. We also pay for raw materials in advance. When needed, we provide zero-interest micro-loans, impactful training and cutting-edge design advice.
